LOCATED IN

San Cassiano (Dolomites), Italy

WHAT WE KNOW

This property is in the region of Trentino Alto Adige, otherwise known as the Dolomites.

For adventure lovers, this ski-in, ski-out charming chalet-style hotel with Michelin-starred restaurant is a must-stay property when visiting The Dolomites, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site.   The Dolomites are situated in the Southern Alps in the north of Italy, not far from the Austrian border. Honeymoons and Bachelor/Bachelorette parties can be enjoyed here for the experience of a lifetime.  The ski domain is known as the Dolomiti Superski and consists of 460 lifts and 760 miles of ski runs.  The area consists of 12 valleys all accessible under one ski pass and there is enough different terrain to suit all levels of skier.  It is gorgeous in the winter and in the spring one can hike and cycle for miles.

Guests here experience the most unbelievable cuisine.  Breakfasts are hearty and substantial - perfect for a day's skiing, and the lunches on the sunny terrace are delicious.  Food and drink are taken so seriously here, that each week guests are invited to the wine cellar to sample delicious products, 1800 different labels at the last count, with a special emphasis on what South Tyrol has to offer.  There are no less than 70 different cheeses in the Cheese Room, and a member of the hotel's Cheese Team will expertly guide you through the varieties. And you must visit the Chocolate Room.  This room houses 40 sorts of fine chocolate, which vary from 30% to 100% and are flavoured liquorice, chili, pepper and mint, with many more.  These are available for tasting and buying.  Fresh fruit skewers can be dipped into pure Venezuelan chocolate from the room's own fountain.  You'll need to ski quite hard to work it all off, but it’s worth it.

Enjoy a view of Alta Badia’s stunning landscape through the large windows in the panoramic pool perfect for a post ski dip before moving into the spa where you can rejuvenate after an energetic morning on the hills, skiing, walking or cycling through the mountains. The spa features a Turkish bath, Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, solarium and whirlpool bath.
